Whimsical Woodland Wedding Inspiration

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

It's not everyday that you choose to wear a huge headpiece to your wedding but seeing it in lots of magazines, it is a fun idea to play a one day of dress up and we have done exactly that in this editorial shoot. Inspired by the deer and all of woodlands, we brought the beauty of the deer gracing against the elements of mother nature.

Soft pinks and creams softens the wooden table making way for the wildflowers to come alive. Contrast and moderation is the key to working with elements like this.

Even woodland creatures loves treats, right? A white cake is a canvass for fresh flowers and put it together with the cupcakes and tarts for a rustic spread. Be sure to use a wooden cake stand too!

Just in case you're wondering the antler are from the lovely Poppy Jean who had them sourced all the way from Europe. That is my new favorite prop of the season!

Here's a tip: This may look a bit out there to some but there is always a way to tie the styling into your wedding , all in moderation. The headpieces doesn't have to be headpieces but they can be table decorations or your bouquet instead.

So there you have it! Something whimsical for an inspiration worthy of Autumn.
